    Step 1

    把糕粉、糖粉及白油混合,然后慢慢洒入香草精及加入清水混合成糠状面团。Place gao fun and icing sugar in a mixing bowl. Add shortening then pour in vanilla essence and water gradually. Mix until it forms a bread crumb mixture.

    Step 2

    取一小部分面团,沾少许芝麻,然后填入月饼模里至半满。Take a small portion and sprinkle over with some sesame seeds. Fill the mould with half of the gao fun mixture.

    Step 3

    加入数片山楂片,再填入适量糕粉面团。Add a few slices of hawthorn and cover with some more gao fun mixture.

    Step 4

    用手掌把面团压平,然后扣出,即可享用。Press with the palm of your hand to flatten the surface,knock out the cake and it is ready to serve.
