炸云吞虾

Wanton Wrapped Prawns

Ingredients:

20 medium prawns, 1 tsp corn flour, 20 wanton wrappers, oil for deep frying

Dipping sauce: mix

125ml tomato sauce, 1tbsp tangy orange juice

Method:

  1. Peel the prawn, leaves the tails intact. Pull out the dark rein from each bacj, start from the end. (pic 1)
  2. Mix the corn flour with 1 tsp water in a small bowl become batter.
  3. Fold wanton wrapper into half to from a triangle, place 1 prawn on tip, leaving the tail exposed. Seal the end by brushing on a little of corn flour mixture, cover witg plastic wrap and refrigerate for 20 minutes. (pic 2)
  4. Heat oil in wok, deep fry the prawns in the hot oil until crispy, done. (pic 3-4)

Cheese and Ham Wrap

Ingredients:

8 pcs cocktail chicken or beef sausage, 2 cheese slices, 4 slices ham (pork, chicken or turkey), 16 mini skewers

Method:

  1. Deep fry or boil the cocktail sausage, cut into half, drain and set aside. (pic 1)
  2. Cut each cheese slice into 8 triangle strips. Cut each ham slices into 4 thinner strips then the cheese slices. (pic 2)
  3. Roll a slice of ham around a cocktail sausage, place a slice of cheese on top of the ham, secure with mini skewers. (pic 3-4)
